I just remembered today that I made this blog and came to take a look and realized I have a lot of catching up to do!!
Most of you know by now that Riley Jade made her debut June 13, 2010 and is now crawling all over the place and keeping us all on our toes! She is forever after the toys Wyatt loves most and into her mouth they go!! She has two teeth and babbles all the time! I just installed a gate today to prevent her from toppling down the stairs to the rec room, although you would think that past three falls would have done that, but she is persistent!! She likes to go where her big brother goes!
Wyatt has recently started pre-preschool and is feeling undecided about it. He has fun once he's been there but doesn't like it when I leave. He recently accomplished singing the alphabet all on his own and when being cooperative, will count to 10. We're working on 20 but right now that usually includes a couple of seventeens and a twentyteen!! He is obsessed with the movie Cars and is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Cars 2 and all the toys cars he'll require from that movie too.
Mike is about to start a new position come March and YAY! he won't have to wake up at 4am anymore! Hopefully this will open the door for many more great things to come!
I am still at home. Even though I have finished my schooling, I have yet to find work. The kids are not complaining and I am soaking up every minute of it until I find my dream job or at least something part time until my dream job comes along.
Needless to say we have our hands full!!
I will try to keep up with little tidbits of our daily life on a more regular basis!! Thanks for checking in on us!!

36 Weeks 4 Days
Well I had my 36 week appt today and the doc says everything sounds good. The baby has definitely dropped and is preparing for his debut! I told the doc that it feels like he is head butting my cervix and she said if that's what it feels like, then he probably is which is good news!
Had my GBS test done today and doc says I will get my results at my next appt unless I don't make it to my next appt!!
I think I may request an internal at my next appt because I found out that my dr. office doesn't really do them until the week of your due date. They use to do them around 36 or 37 weeks but stopped because they don't really tell you when the baby is coming since you can be walking dialated for weeks and not even know it!
I would still like to know if I am making any progress though. My next appt is Thursday the 24th at 8am.
My comfort level is slowly decreasing as this little man is pushing down more and more. I have to walk very soft otherwise I feel the need to pee constantly!!

Oh yeah, I still don't have my jeep back yet, which means I don't have a car seat installed or any of the bags that I'm suppose to already have packed. I'm hoping to get the jeep back today and finish shopping for the things we will need for our bag.
Mike could also potentially only have a week left of smoking. He is aware but I still feel the need to remind him. I will be so glad when his smoking is a thing of the past.

34 week update
Well I'm almost 35 weeks now, but I had my 34 week d/a yesterday and found out some fun information! The babies HB is great, 146 and the Dr. said he sounds pretty happy!
I also asked her if she would be able to feel around and give me an estimate on his current weight, birth weight and if she could tell whether he was head down or not. I was pretty sure he was in the "ready to go" position but it was fun to ask.
The Dr. says he feels about 5 to 5.5 lbs. right now and she is guessing he'll be around 7 lbs. when he is born. She also said he is definitely head down. Good Boy!
At this point they say babies gain about a 1/2 pound a week and if he only has 1 1/2 to 2 lbs to gain, he's only got a few weeks left to do it!!
Time is ticking away and after my next appt on the 16th, I start weekly appts. and that means we are really really running out of time now and he will be here very soon!!
I scheduled my Maternity Prepared Stay appt for January 14th which is basically just an appt to go in and pre-register, fill out paperwork, the birth certificate and write down any specifics for things I want or don't want.
Look for my next update around the 16th. Unless something crazy happens I'll probably just give an update from my appt.

Updates
Well It's Thursday and I'm sitting here at work bored out of my mind because it's so slow and a lot of people have left for vacation already.
Figured I might as well do an update since it's been awhile.
I will officially be 33 weeks this Saturday. Only 6 weeks to go after that, give or take.
It's getting close and this little guy is still really really active. I think maybe he is getting anxious as well. He moves all the time and they say that babies movements are suppose to slow near the end because they run out of room.. Well I think he just decided to make more room for himself.
My last d/a was 12/10 and everything is going well. The baby's heart rate was in the 140's and up until then had always been in the 150's. The doctor says that the closer I get to having him the more his HR will gradually slow to the 120's.
My next appt was put three weeks out instead of two this time so I didn't have to come back during the holidays. So on 01/02 I will get to hear his HB again.
I've recently come down with what is known as PUPPP. It is a skin irritation that is very common to experience in the last trimester. Unforunately there is nothing the doctor can give me to make it go away, only creams to take the edge off the itch. All the itchy red bumps should go away after the baby is born, but up until then they can spread and get worse. So until this little boy decides to show up, I'll have to wear mittens to keep from scratching.
I actually had a dream lastnight that I had him already and he was born with so much hair that he practically needed a haircut right away. He would smile everytime I would try to brush it, but no matter how much I wet it down, it would stick up so I ended up putting a hat on him!! ha ha
