Well It's Thursday and I'm sitting here at work bored out of my mind because it's so slow and a lot of people have left for vacation already.
Figured I might as well do an update since it's been awhile.
I will officially be 33 weeks this Saturday. Only 6 weeks to go after that, give or take.
It's getting close and this little guy is still really really active. I think maybe he is getting anxious as well. He moves all the time and they say that babies movements are suppose to slow near the end because they run out of room.. Well I think he just decided to make more room for himself.
My last d/a was 12/10 and everything is going well. The baby's heart rate was in the 140's and up until then had always been in the 150's. The doctor says that the closer I get to having him the more his HR will gradually slow to the 120's.
My next appt was put three weeks out instead of two this time so I didn't have to come back during the holidays. So on 01/02 I will get to hear his HB again.
I've recently come down with what is known as PUPPP. It is a skin irritation that is very common to experience in the last trimester. Unforunately there is nothing the doctor can give me to make it go away, only creams to take the edge off the itch. All the itchy red bumps should go away after the baby is born, but up until then they can spread and get worse. So until this little boy decides to show up, I'll have to wear mittens to keep from scratching.
I actually had a dream lastnight that I had him already and he was born with so much hair that he practically needed a haircut right away. He would smile everytime I would try to brush it, but no matter how much I wet it down, it would stick up so I ended up putting a hat on him!! ha ha

Hospital Tour
Well last night was our second child birth class and at the end we got a tour of the hospital. The rooms are cozy and actually smaller than what I was expecting, but nice. I don't need room for a whole audience in there anyways!
I'm hoping the hospital is as supportive of getting up and walking around as our instructor is. If I'm in there for awhile I certainly don't want to be stuck in bed the whole time, but if I don't get time to walk around that's ok too!! ;)
We also got to see where the OR, triage, waiting room and visitors kitchen were and last but not least, the room where they do the circumcisions.
It's so weird to walk into a hospital you are so unfamiliar with and think "I'm going to have my baby here."
One thing I learned that I am excited about is that this hospital does not have a nursery. The babies stay with you at all times!
Unfortunately Michael has buck fever and can't make it to the Nov. 15th class so Willy is coming with me. It's a good thing I'm not due that day or I might be driving myself to the hospital!!! ;)
All I can say is that if he's going to play hookie he better get a huge buck that night.

First Day of Birth Class!
Well it went pretty painlessly. It was actually much better than what I expected and what I had heard it might be. Plus we got out a 1/2 hour early.
The instructor lady, Sherrie, is very nice and didn't waste anytime boring us with lecture. We got to watch a stand up comedy routine by Bill Cosby on Natural Child Birth which of course was pretty funny and then we learned some breathing and relaxation techniques and some beneficial positions for helping the baby to descend.
Then we were split into groups, the dads in one room the moms in another, and the guys had to make up a list of things they could do to be helpful during labor and the girls had to draw a picture describing how we might look during labor. Needless to say most of the pictures were pretty comical. But we had to draw the picture on a small round piece of paper that ended up being 10 cm in diameter to represent just how big we'll have to be before that baby even thinks of coming out. OUCH!
We watched another movie on anatomy just to familiarize ourselves with all the different parts involved in caring for the baby while he grows inside.
All in all it was pretty informative and I think I only yawned once the whole time!!
Next week we get to go on a tour of the hospital which is what I've been looking forward to most and it's even better that we don't have to wait until the last class to do so.
So far the only thing I don't like about the class is that it makes me think way more about delivery than I care to. I figure it's inevitable so no sense in getting all worked up about it, but it's kind of hard not to focus on it when you're sitting in a class that's meant to prepare you for just that!! I'm sorry but I think this is a test that I would rather not study for in advance.
Tell me about everything else, but let me find out about the labor once I get there. Besides no ones labor is the same. Everyones experience is different. The only similarity is that it HURTS!!

November 1st!
Only 100 days left!! Give or take a few!!
I can remember when I had 250 days left. After today we're down to double digits! Whoa!
Tonight is our first child birth class and I'm not looking forward to it lasting 2 hours. Plus I've heard they're boring until you get the tour. Good thing there are only 4 classes! I guess you can never have too much information and I've heard you get to watch movies. This should be interesting!
More exciting news!! This Saturday is my baby shower! I'm so excited to see everyone!! And eat good food!
Dani is making one of her delicious peanut butter sheet cakes and I can't wait to eat some!! YUM!

My thoughts for the day
Hello all!
I was just thinking today about all the new changes to come and it dawned on me that I get to have a new driver's license photo taken for my upcoming 25th birthday!
Normally I would be looking forward to this because I like to see how much I've changed in the past few years but I realized that I will be 9 MONTHS PREGNANT when I get my picture taken... What kind of cruel joke is this?
Not only will I be pale as all get out, but I'll have my preggo fat face as well. Yipee!
I just may have to misplace my license after I lose my preggo fat face so I can get a new picture!
The only upside I could find for this thought is that at least my insurance is going down!
